I use heatbeads and when finished cooking stop them by taking a saucepan that the basket just fits into and dropping the basket into lid on and within a short time all extinguished - ready to use for next time
I have been looking on youtube for cooking ideas with the Cobb and came across a nifty trick for saving the heatbeads. When you have finished cooking, take off the lid and the gridle, pan etc and place a piece of foil over the Cobb so it completely covers it and then put the metal plate back on. It cuts off the oxygen and the beads stop burning. Didi it tonight and it worked a treat.
