Any tv will work and a standard house areil will work as good as any fancy high priced set up.

Sorry alpiner, have to disagree, an active terrestrial TV antenna will give better results when the signal is weak, even the addition of a masthead amp can make a big difference when using a bog std antenna.

But in strong signal areas you are correct in what you say.

we go away to get away from the tv

but always carry a well stocked hard drive to plug in to lap top for for the kids before they go to bed
