Hi. I have a Cabanon trailer tent that came with a Suter cooker. Unfortunately, it was missing the knobs. I borrowed some from another camping cooker I have, but they don't fit properly. The biggest problem I have though, is that it won't stay lit. There are 2 rings, and a grill. When I push in and turn the knob, I can hear gas, and I can light it. However, as soon as I let go, the flow of gas stops. I can't make the knobs stay pushed in once turned. Does anyone know what would cause this? Also, does anyone know where I can get replacement knobs to fit a Suter cooker?
The problem you describe is usually caused by inoperative thermocouple, this is the safety device that cuts off gas if flame goes out, so whoever supplies those should supply knobs. A quick google finds their website, so worth an email.
