Just had our Fiamma Caravanstore Zip awning trashed during the recent bad weather. The main front bar has snapped in half due to the weight of the water and the roof has a 20 inch rip along with a similar rip to one of the side panels.
The awning is several years old and my insurance company Lifesure has said I need to get two estimates for repair. I dont know where to start really in finding the estimates, can anyone suggest a few companies that will generate some estimates from some emailed photos etc... and hopefully send me the info I need for the claim. I would prefer the awning writing off as I am 99.99% sure it is beyond economical repair and could do without anyone trying to fix it to be honest as I will be left with a patchwork awning and an inflated insurance policy.

It may be worth firing off some emails to these types...?

http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/

http://www.johnscross.co.uk/fiamma-care.html

..and maybe try asking at some local caravan/motorhome dealers/workshops, to see if they'll produce some quotes for you?..

(..if increased insurance premiums are a real concern, it may also be worth costing up the "bits" to repair it yourself and/or even look at replacing with a used item from the likes of ebay etc?)

Just had a nice conversation with Howard at Camperlands (via agentfiamma.co.uk) who is going to sort out the estimate, many thanks for the above.
