We have an Outwell Vacanza Relax double bed system, which is brilliant, APART from using single airbeds as the mattress part, so although you can move independently from one another, you still have the associated, and sometimes inexplicable, deflation!  I have been considering buying the Exped Megamat's to use in the Outwell bed, but need to persuade other half that these would be worth the 15 x price tag of some more single airbeds... Would welcome any reviews/comments. Space in our car is at a premium with literally every inch filled (including completely removing and leaving at home the 2 back seats in our 7 seater car), so unfortunately the lovely comfy looking fishing beds are out of the question....
