Looking for a bit of advice about camping chairs that convert into sun loungers.
OH wants a chair that is comfy for sitting in the sun, but at the same time, would like one that also folds into a sun lounger type, so she can lie on her front to top her tan on her back :-)
Any advice?
I did start trawling through the topics, but couldnt see any (started getting blurred visions with all the topics....)
I love my Kampa Skipper. Reclines and is mega wide and comfy. I just use summit else as a foot rest for full on lounge mode. Also good at a table, great all rounder 😃

Not looked, but my guess is that you'll struggle to find something that is suitable for sitting in, that will also lie flat enough for sunbathing on your front! Plenty about that will recline, of course, comfy enough for lying on your back.
Maybe a sunlounger that you can sit up on? But that will be low to the ground, with your feet still on the footrest part, not "normal height" chair, and certainly not suitable to sit at a table.
Only guessing though!
For the record, we have Outwell Windsor Hill chairs, which come with zip on/off foot/leg rest, and have 3 recline positions. Absolutely brilliant for "sitting soft" or lying back. But too low/slouchy for sitting at a table to eat, and certainly not flat enough for lying on your front!
What will you be sleeping on? If you're in a motorhome/caravan with fixed bedding then you'll want the lounger. On the other hand, airbeds, SIMs and camp beds can serve dual purposes as beds/sun loungers.
My advice would be to go for a more upright chair. Good-sized director-style chairs like the Outwell Tuscan Hills are surprisingly comfortable and also upright enough for eating at a table.
In any case, I strongly advise trying out at least similar chairs for yourselves if at alol possible.
The best on the market are Lafuma ... but they are pricey ... though you can find reductions in sales etc .... we got ours cheaply in France at a big sale. Some here
Sorry to drag this old post back up but we have just spent the Easter weekend away and thought I would share the fact that we opted for some Isabella comfort chairs with leg extensions. Not completely flat, but close enough. Really comfy as a chair, just as comfy as a recliner :-)
We have the Outwell Hudson recliner. It looks identical to the Lafuma pictured above. Wonder why?
It is a great chair, strong and robust but above all comfortable.
It has been well made and will last a long time as we look after them out of season.
Pink is too much for me, or mine!
