We are trying to decide which smallish porch awning to purchase.....please give us your thoughts or experiences.
Been looking at an Isabella Minor (260x200cm) Ventura Cadet ( 260x200cm) and the smaller Dorema Alpha (225x180cm)
Do these porches have a good seal against the caravan?...which one would be best?
Want to avoid any abrasion/damage to our caravan.
Also advice on poles please.....is the carbon fibre available on Isabella and Ventura best?
We don't want anything larger.....had a full size awning on our last caravan....too difficult, and heavy for us.
Is the Isabella Minor....the most expensive, worth the money?
We live in the Highlands of Scotland so would like something fairly robust!

We have had the Dorema Quattro 275 and we have just bought a new Isabella Magnum to replace it. My personal opinion is that the Isabella is much better quality and worth the extra few hundred pounds. The isabella is much easier to erect with the carbon poles and can be done with one person doing it. The quality of the fabric is better. Ventura is made by Isabella but at the budget end. The carbon poles on the Ventura are the same as the carbon IXL that the Isabella used to use before switching to carbon X. When buying a porch just make sure it fits between the windows to ensure a better seal. If you can afford to get an Isabella I would recommend you get one. There are plenty around second hand. Good luck in your choice.
Best Wishes
Maria

We have an Isabella full size awning which we love but, for a porch awning, we just got the Vango Airbeam Varkala.

We went for the 420 but should have gone for the 280 as that would have been plenty big enough. We found the Vango to the be easiest awning we've ever put up so we're not sure we'll ever use the Isabella again!

It gives a good seal against the caravan, is lighter weight than an equivalent "poled" awning and, being very well ventilated, had no condensation issues. It also felt very sturdy, even without the included storm straps.
