Hi, has anyone got / had a son of hibachi bbq?. I like the look of them but unsure of how big they are for cooking and what sort of size / weight they are to transport?.
Any body got any opinion son them good or bad?
Size is ok without being extravagant. Have cooked for family/4 blokes easily enough with a bit of planning. We often have a pan of something across the middle section, and it's a handy design for keeping things warm underneath while cooking more on the coals. Grill height is adjustable.
It's not the lightest bit of kit - but solid and robust - so you wouldn't want to carry it any distance by hand, but we use for canoe/car camping.
Fireproof bag has proved handy, especially with kids so can put grill away in bag almost as soon as done and out of harm's way.
Not tried using it as oven but will one day. And it's strong enough to use as a wee firepit once the cooking done - one side can be held vertical as a deflector/reflector.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
