Hi folks
First time poster on here so please forgive any protocol errors I've missed in my eagerness to get going, but I've seen how helpful you guys are as a community, soooo....
We bought a brilliant Outwell Bear Lake 6 in 2010, and swear by it! this year we took a bit more stuff, and found we could have done with more space, and saw a family with a fab extension / awning for the front of theirs.
After numerous google searches, I've found out that post-2013 awnings won't fit, that some other model extensions MIGHT fit but nobody's sure, and that you can't find a Bear Lake 6 extension when you need one.
Anyone got any advice, offers, or possible alternatives?
BL6 front extensions, and the side one for that matter, pre 2012 tend to be rare beasts (front one more so), so expect to keep an eye out here, and on eBay/Gumtree.
Very occasionally, you might find someone willing to split a tent package if you offer them enough for said extension.
The side extensions fit quite a lot tents, so can be in demand, but I have seen them on eBay such as this one.....

This is exactly what I've found so far, and Outwell themselves aren't particularly helpful, either in sourcing an old one, or making their new ones backwards compatible! Didn't figure camping would be one of those areas where built-in obsolescence would be the norm, but hey....
Not so worried about the side extension: I know some people swear by them, but it's not quite what we're after. I'll keep on the look-out on eBay and gumtree though.

Hi Moki, we were previous BL 6 with front extension owners and when we were selling it we had lots of interest from folks looking the extension alone but we didn't want to split. The tent, plus extension, was eventually purchased by someone who already had the tent but intended to use ours and sell his just to be able to get hold of the extension. Maybe you could consider this as an option?
