A plastic lidded box and one bag apiece, for our usual weekends.
One of these added for our 2 weeks in France...
The rail's from Argos (Although I did take the hacksaw to it, to reduce the height). It's a fold flat(ish) stylee, rather than a build up on site type, so very quick and easy. A little rickety, but ain't gonna break or collapse!
That black hanger thingy is from Ikea, and you can get little (fold-flat/material) drawers to slot in. We also got a matching hanging wardrobe thing, with zip front, but decided to stick with the "open rail effect"!
Not sure it will fit well in our latest tent, but worked superbly well for us in this tent above, and our previous Icarus (once I'd cut it down!)
We have a little bag per person and I kind of plan what's needed each day and just take that, plus a couple of spares. For longer trips, I do a wash mid week so I don't take much more. I take leggings and t shirts for the girls and enough knickers for each day. Dirty stuff goes straight in the bag to be washed or taken home once worn, at least mine does, every one else's sits on the floor of the tent for a while. I don't know the magic number of times they need to be told to put it in the bag. For our 10 days in France this summer, I've got the arrangement Mucker has posted a picture of above. Our shelf thingy was from home bargains though.

Another fan of plastic drawers here like Kelper. They are surprisingly roomy and things don't get lost - or creased. And they're see through so you can see what's in them
Plastic storage drawers for longer trips as we take the big tent so have the space for them.
Plastic storage box with lid each for shorter breaks which store under the camp beds.
2 large plastic boxes with lids which are full of camping gear while travelling.
On site, empty bags with clothes in, use empty storage boxes which then double up as bedside tables.
Empty bags in trailer,
Last trip, we just left everything in the car in holdalls, got what we needed for the day, then put the boot cover back. Saves space in the tent, and keeps it tidy without the need for boxes or drawers. Dirties in a wet/dry bag under one of the beds.

Blue Ikea bags for travel ( about the right size for 3 big kids for 17-18 days) and plastic storage boxes stacked in awning when on site ( filled with other stuff on trailer for way down. May actually use these for clothes this yr as swopped to caravan )
hanging rail as cheap as possible as tend to last about 2 yrs before kids break them ( cheap and expensive ones)
