Hi, I bought myself a lovely caravan that came with an awning but the awning didn't have any pegs or ropes with it just the poles and the awning.
The awning is like brand new it's just that I don't know what type of pegs and other stuff I should purchase to have myself a nice strong set up?
I have an old Sunncamp canvas tent stored away in loft and was wondering if the thin steel pegs would be all I need, and a couple of guide ropes from that old set up.
Do you think this would be all that I need or would I need those heavy duty pegs?
We staying on a field on Bank Farm down The Gower in Swansea
We going away for 4 weeks in the summer holidays so want it to be strong in any type of wind or rain.

just count the number of pegging points you have on the awning then get rock pegs, they will do for just about all conditions then, awning generally don't come with any ropes, you buy a storm strap that goes over the awning for windy conditions, you will likely need a groundsheet if that didn't come with it, get a breathable one, and buy it slightly longer than your caravan length any extra can be folded under but will be handy later on for if the entrance becomes damaged and you can then just cut off the raggy bit

As above but,if you dont know how the poles build up build them on the ground flat as this saves wondering where they go when the awning is on the van (And a divorce )
