you could roll the yoga mat in along with the SIM for carrying.

It does sound like it's been over inflated as well, you need to have it a bit softer for more comfort.

i take my tent camping on my motorbike. i have a camp bed; canvas supported by steel tubes and wire shapes. someone posted a link to one in Argos on this thread. Anyway whether its the copious quantities of beer or just that its comfortable i sleep really well on it. it kind of forms like a hammock but is still quite firm. i have taken it all over europe on my bike. infact i find it more comfortable than the bed in my caravan. i have a 50mm memory foam topper on that. for 15 quid its well worth a try. i paid 11 for mine from towsure and i have had it for 6 years.

Yes campermic that is a great idea, it's only a thin one though so not too sure how good it would be. Bailey jake the camp beds sound amazing but their weight is just not practicable for non veichle camping for me. I will seriously look at getting one for ' normal' non festival camping but as that is next week I need to find a solution for that first. If I can conpress the memory foam down enough then that is my best option I think 😊 you are all so helpful thank you x

Lol big Roy the gin will be flowing no doubt however I'm trying to aid the morning after feeling which will not be made any better if I have a sore side, I'm generally being a big girl about this but I am aware of this so just go with it!
Thanks for all the other suggestions, I have a yoga mat I could try it the memory foam (which undoubtedly will be comfier but maybe harder to carry?) so am sure I will hopefully be more comfortable than I was. RTS5, I did actually wonder this and have vague memories of letting some air out of it at silly o clock in the morning though whether it helped out not who knows!

Yes I always sleep with the valves head end so I can let some air out if needed. The camp bed idea Baileyjake mentioned is a good idea, though I do find they are quite hard after a couple of nights. Put your SIM on top though and you will be onto a winner.
