Hi,
We bought a new Hi tech cooker with all our camping gear 2 years ago. The cooker we have used about 5 times, but the cooker knobs have become misshapen on the inner section.
So it does not always turn the spindle.
Go Outdoors have just said it is only guaranteed for a year, even thou it has only been used on 5 trips!
Can you but the knobs separately, preferable with an metal insert?
I can only find ones for a Coleman cooker, which have thicker spindles.
after about 25 years the knobs on our camping gaz stove started spinning on the spindles. I glued them on with araldite, its taken a further ten years, for them to start slipping again, so time for a more permanent fix I think
Hi thanks for the advice, that sounds like a good idea :)
Still a bit disappointed they have failed so quickly, but in the absence of getting any new ones that sounds like a great idea, cheers.
Consider making one out of Sugru, the mouldable silicone rubber/glue.
