Not sure how to do quotes, but Scampis' post reminded me that we used the sterilising bags for our baby fellrunners.

Cheapest sterilising unit is an old ice-cream container (2 - 3 litres?) and some sterilising tablets.

But if you want a real holiday (!) just go for anything ready-made! No having to keep chilled, no having to keep sterilised ... and no washing up! Got to be a winner!

Hi Sion

We have done most of what has been suggested here.  Boiling every thing for a couple of mins, Milton tabs/fluid in Ice cream tub, to full blown electric steriliser.

We moved to the electric steriliser when we had our Crusader.  The boilg was okay but you had to watch it due to kidds about.  The "cold" sterilising worked a treat.  minimum hassle  chuck the stuff in and leave for 30 mins or something like that.  The solution was good for 24 hours so you can use it again that day.  Never had any upset tummies when camping from 3 months old.

Our son was born two months prem in December and in the hospital they used these one use pre-steralised bottles.

They came from sterifeed.com and I think you can get a 100 bottles for about £30-£40 and you can get serilised teets.

They are fantastic if you are going out, especially if you are a bit pushed for time and don't have time to mess around with milton etc.

I think when we go camping I'm gonna take a boxful with us (but then again I guess it's not very environment friendly approach so maybe not...)
