If what you had was ok then replace like with like. As for cookers, everybody has a different opinion. Mine is that a 2 burner gas cooker about £35 cooks as well as anything. For a gas bottle see if you can get a Calor 4.5kg butane from a car boot sale. You may even find a good cooker as well.

How many people are camping and how much storage/transportation room do you have?

We are a family of 5 and whilst we don't rough it I don't think we take an excessive amount of kit yet still have a people carrier with 3x5ft trailer with extension and now looking at getting a roof box!

Our beds consist of cheap camp bed, 5cm SIM with a double duvet each (SIM is inserted in the duvet cover then duvet folded over), pillow from home so times that by 5 with a chair each and a table big enough for everyone to eat at the trailer is pretty full before anything else is added. The duvets travel in a compressed dry sack so are only slightly larger pack size than a decent sleeping bag and us adults have thicker SIMs but again pack size is only slightly larger but it soon adds up.

Thank you for your replies, we used to also take duvets as we found them much more comfie and warmer. We are a family with 5 kids so as you can imagine learning to pack up the car has to be precise lol. Great idea about gas bottle as i do prefer a two ring cooker with grill.

There are good bargains to be had on eBay if you don't mind second hand items and you have lots to replace. Or preloved for your area.
