The caravan that we have just bought has a motor mover fitted to it which is a Powrtouch Evolution.
When I've looked at motor movers in the past the rollers seemed to covered in what looks like grit however the rollers on the one we have are a fluted alloy type. To the touch, the end of the flutes are uneven and rough but not exactly 'gritty'
So, I'm not sure what condition the rollers are in....
Anyone know what they should look/feel like and know how to tell if they are worn? Mover works fine on the two occasions I've used it but it's only been on flat concrete so far.
The mover we have fitted is a Purple Line model and the rollers are the same as you have described on your van. Most movers we have seen are the same and I have not seen any of the "grit" type for a long time. If your mover has worked fine on the previous occasions then hopefully it should be OK.
We had an original power touch with the girt rollers. Cracked like egg shells particularly when the wheels picked up any gravel. These rollers were replaced under warranty by a set that were not fluted but the equivalent of the grit surface cast on to them. Much better, if your mover works I wouldn't worry to much.
