Hi all.

Will be camping in June and thanks to my knees not being what they used to be I am looking for a raised air bed. However I am struggling to find a raised air bed that does not have an electric pump in built. We will be nowhere near mains electric or a car charger so a battery operated pump is my only method.
They seem to not exist.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a raised(preferably double) air bed that can be inflated using a foot or battery pump?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you

Hi
My wife has similar problems to yourself only its her back that is the problem a low airbed was out of the question. She was dubious about camping because of this. I brought a coleman Durarest raised airbed from http://www.johnscamping.co.uk/, I noticed the other day that millets are selling this for £100 I paid a lot less for mine but I noticed that the one from Mllets seem to be an upgrade to mine. I always use an Electric pump but take a foot pump just in case. The bed itself is very comfortable 47cm high which is high enough for my Wife to oik herself out without too much duress. usually give it a pump up every 2nd or 3rd night just to keep it firm. It has a double locking valve which keeps it airtight maybe not quite 100% but as near as damn it, My Wife actually loves it says its comfortable and has no trouble sleeping. Have a look see what you think.

Thank you all for your help!

I am looking at these three and they are all well with in budget too.

Been out patching the tent this morning and am getting excited about everything now.

We changed form SIM's on the floor to SIMs on a camp bed last year after my knees started playing up! Best nights sleep I have ever had in a tent.

We went for an Outwell Posadas double camp bed with our double Vango 5cm DLX on top, worth considering of you have the space in the car!

Have a look at Aldi. I noticed some there this morning. I didn't look too close as I bought one last year but am sure they are made by Intex (mine is). I think they were £34.99.
