First of all many thanks to all of you posting on here. I must have read half the posts in my quest for the perfect camping gear.
I am stuck on the kitchen! I have bought the decathlon table and stools so I'm tempted to get the kitchen as well but they do not have it in my store so I can't check it out. Here it is: Decathlon kitchen

I stumbled upon a cheap one at the range (they sell the junior intex bed for 30£!!) here: Range cheap kitchen so similar the the easy up I'd been eyeing. They also had one bigger for 40£ not on their website, just like decathlon's but the shelves inside looked so weak (cardboard/woodchip agglomerate without reinforcements). Also, many camping products there looked very cheaply made.
I'm happy with the 60£ price tag at decathlon. Any experience of the quality?
Also, would you say 2 suitcase cooker by campingaz would fit in there side by side. We always cooked on a trangia but now with 3 boys 2, 4 and 6 we have to have a very safe setup!
The Decathlon kitchen looks like a better made product to me for certain.
However, the space within the windshield is highly unlikely to be sufficient to fit 2 suitcase stoves side by side.
The space is normally designed to take a regular double burner stove.
Two suitcase stove side by size will be too wide for it.
However, they may just about fit if they are placed North-South instead of East-West, with a bit of overhang perhaps.
I would not risk buying any kitchen without knowing the overall dimenions of the stoves placed side by side in both directions first to avoid disappointment.

Very versatile kitchen with lots of storage, for shorter trips we only have one of the side cupboards up.

Do you have to use suitcase cookers, I have read many issues regarding flare ups, caused by leaking canisters or even using the wrong size pan!
The CampinGaz Chef cooker is a great bit of kit, and quite cheap, runs of a cylinder of course, but about as safe as it gets when it comes to cooking on gas, when camping, separate Kitchen Tent also adds another level of safety.
I have the lidl table and chairs which are nearly identical. Also got the decathalon kitchen from last year, slightly different colour scheme and notice the table top is different. Mine is as per the 'customer photos' on the link you provided, it has a silver ridged surface.
I love it, one of the best purchases I made last year. It's very sturdy, great bag, goes up easily and packs away without trouble. I haven't tried 2 suitcase stoves next to one another so don't know for sure. If you get the dimensions you could calculate it? I made oilcloth table cloths (when not using as a cooker top) which I attach with tablecloth clips, looks great and protects surfaces.
Thanks everyone for the replies. I think I'll go with decathlon. I like the size of it esp if we need to move it as the larger one from argos seems less transportable.
I have not got the cookers yet. I think I'll revisit the double idea. I think I have found memories of the suitcase ones!!!
Oilcloth table cloths sounds good. I have no table clo0th clips but I'll look into that.
Woohoo! Got the decathlon stand and a double camping chef from ebay with the regulator, hose and an empty 904 bottle it was £60 including shipping. It's so hard to get a bargain to pickup nearby in the north east :-(
Got the kids a waterproof rug and a mini folding table a foot high as well. Not sure how long they'd last on those stools in the grass lol.
I think we're nearly kitted out! Now to replace our awful double sleeping bag...
Well done, although I would ditch the 904 (1.80kg) Cylinder, and go down to your local tip and pick up a 907 (2.75kg) Cylinder.
GoOutdoors will exchange your 907 for a full Cylinder and will only charge for the Gas, not the cheapest at around £25, but Gas for the 904 is even more expensive.
We carry two 907 Cylinders, so that we never run out of Gas, but to be fair as we use EHU for most of our cooking, our current 907 in use has lasted for over 10 weeks camping, and has still got some way to go yet.
We only camping in France, that's why we stick with the CampinGaz Cylinders, even though the Gas is the most expensive on the market.
For uk use, I would switch the regulator, and go for a BP GasLite 5kg Cylinder, being transparent you can always see how much Gas you have, and the Gas cost is around half that of CampinGaz.
In fact I did spot a BP GasLite Cylider down at my local tip the other week, could have kicked myself for not picking it up.
BP GasLite Cylinders can be exchanged at the Home Base stores, although the brand is now under MacGas.
Yep Bob, OP appears to gone for a stove that uses proper Gas Cylinders.
Just checked Homebase charge £27 for the BP GasLight refills, whilst my local garden centre who stocks them charge £22 for the 5kg Cylinder which is ideal for Tent campers, that works out at better than half price of CampinGaz Gas, no brainer really.
Might even switchover to BP GasLight myself, and just carry a 907 as back up should we ever run out whilst in France.
Hi Gwen, it's not a problem, your 904 will be handy if you ever go camping in France, in the meantime keep a look out down at your local tip for a 5kg BP GasLight Cylinder.
You can get the regulator of the Internet, about £10 simple modern style clip on affair, so a lot less of a fath than the screw on CampinGaz regulators.
If you do decide to stick with the 904, make sure that it has got it's valve cover carry handle, otherwise refill may be refused, you can buy the carry handles seperate in most camping shops, around a fiver.
The CampinGaz Chef is a great little stove, been using ours since 2008, lucky car boot find brand new in the box c/w regulator and hose for £20!
