Hi,
I'm looking to buy some new cooking pots for family camping. Ideally I would like stainless steel, with collapsible / removable handles which can stack. The MSR alpine stowaway looks ideal, but the largest pan is only 1.6L which is a bit to small for a family of 4.
I don't want non stick as the surface never lasts that long and our slaves (aka children) are not the most gentle doing washing up.

We really only need 2-3 saucepans as we have griddle plates on our stove.

Cheers Simon

Thanks for the replies, I will have a look in John Lewis. Is the surface tough enough?

We have found them to be very tough, but we do use pan protectors (circular felt pads available from eBay or Lakeland) when travelling to stop scratching.

we have this set and its great, we started out with a 4 person vango stainless set with brass bases but the handle wasn't very good and we needed a larger pan so opted for a new set.

We have camping gaz anodised ones, cost about £25 a few years ago but still going strong now and stack in each other. There is 3pans and a frying pan and lids, works for us.

I've bought the Versa ones too and they are really solid - someone also recommended a neat round cool bag that they fit in too. Using that I can stack our enamel plates and bowls in with the pans: result!

The Versa pans for sale on Amazon are from seller 'istreetmarket'. If you go direct to their website (link) the're a bit cheaper (£46.10) and if you click on the icon which pops up when you first go to the page it gives you a further 10% off, so the set will cost £41.49, delivered.

Yes, Tnxuk, it was that one.

Thanks again for recommending it. Very strong bag and I'm sure we'll use it a lot for picnics too.

Kampa feast set. These are non stick but are still going strong 4 years later (with 3 children!). They MAY come without the non stick surface- some do!

All pans are deep and big enough for hungry child campers. Would be fine for 6 adults. Only tiny thing is the frying pan but you said you used a griddle.
