Has anyone used a Karcher window vac to vacuum rain/heavy dew from your tent, awning, trailer tent canvas when packing up? Several people on another forum rate them highly for this purpose. Anyone on here had any experience?
There again, I'm not a domestic goddess so even Henry doesn't see the light of day every week...
It may well work well but, constitutes yet another chunk of stuff to take/unpick INHO. I think you'd still need to pitch/dry it off at home in the usual manner.
Give the tent a good shake and most of it rolls off, then mop with towels etc to take off the worst. It it's still raining whilst striking the tent there's not alot you can do except stuff it into bin liners to stop flooding the car and take out as soon as possible. Shudder the thought

We used one on our Pullman ... does reduce drying out time considerably.
When not in the camper, it was used a lot at home ... cleans windows, and great for shower cubicles.
Thanks all. Interesting reading. We have a trailer tent so shaking and packing up in bin bags is not an option, Bridgeywidge!!! We did dry as much off the canvas as we could with extra absorbent cloths but still waited ages for unit to dry before we could pack down. Opening up at home to dry out on return is not possible as we don't have the space to do so.
Before you go spending your money on a Karcher, search for "window vac" on Amazon, we got one for £20, does the same job, spare blades are the same as Karcher.
Yes I use a window vac, fab.
Used it firstly for getting morning dew of the windows but one day had rained over night so thought let's give it a try on the canvas .vac each panel and put straight away and let awning down so hanging from rail vac and put away fab. Always goes with us now.
