Hi there I bought a 12 v tv out of aldi its runs on electric too my problem is the 12v has a cable with a cigarette plug on the end but I don't have a socket for this , what I have is the 12v socket that has 2 horizontal lines if you know what I mean , can I get some sort of adapter for the end of my tv plug end

Yes! these are available from most camping/caravan places or ebay.
They are called ADAPT IT lots of different types available.

yes ALDI sell them £3.99 all you have to do is change the cig lighter plug for the flat pin one. it will also charge your mobile phone.

I didn't put a link in because I wasn't quite sure which one Tricia N needed, we needed the clipsal type ADAPT-IT which has the 2 horizontal pins,on our 2006 van. Best to look on eBay for the correct one!
