Hello all,
Very new to camping and am trying to find second hand camping equipment, to get started then buying new when funds permit.
Can anyone help me? Thank you.
I have bought sleeping bags and 2 singe airbeds for my children.

There are also some bargains to be had on Ebay. Usually nearer the end of the year when the main camping season has finished.

Best deals are ones that are reasonably local to you and who do not offer postage, so collect only.

You might also want to try Gumtree but be careful a lot of scams on there, don't turn up to buy something with wads of cash, also it's out of fashion nowadays but try "loot" if you do find what you want normally a good deal can be had as many folks have forgotton about it, also check out local papers and putting in wanted ads.

Yep I concur with Opensauce, we got our CampinGaz Chef cooker c/w hose and regulator from a car boot sale, the unit had never been used and was still in it's box £20!

Keep your ears open for folk going from tent to caravan, a friend gave me a whole bunch of stuff back in 2007, the best of which was a High-Gear KA027 camping kitchen c/w carry bag and a full CampinGaz 907 cylinder, which we still use to this day.

Have a chat with the people at your local tip. It is amazing what things people throw away and in good condition.

Of course "officially" it may not be sold; but it surprising what the smell of a banknote does to normally rational folk.
