All those Cobb bbq enthusiasts.

It says in all the info about the Cobb cooker that it started life using dried corn cobbs for fuel. Have any of you ever used anything but charcoal as fuel for your cooking ?

Only used heat beads in the Cobb - but might give some of those fancy woods a try.

Hi

Only the heat beads as the do give out more intence heat also the little wood chips that you have to soak in water first helps with flavor depends on whats cooking . but interesting about the dryed out cobbs of corn wonder how much heat it would give out, might just have some corn this weekend

Inadvertently used my fingers as an alternative fuel the other day as I re-arranged my beads.....don't recommend it.
