Hi
I was looking a buying a new cooker this year, and am think about either -

Outwell Gourmet Cooker - http://www.campingworld.co.uk/en/Outwell-Gourmet-Cooker-3-Burner-Stove-wGrill/m-11008.aspx

or
Outwell Chef Cooker http://www.campingworld.co.uk/en/Outwell-Chef-Cooker-3-Burner-Stove-wGrill/m-11005.aspx

but cannot make up my mind if its best to have the under hob or above hob grill. has anyone got experience or either / both and could advise. I would mainly be using the grill for Bacon & toast.

Odd how some links work and some don't anyway we got a brand new CampinGaz Chef c/w regulator and hose back in 2008 for the princely sum of £20! and it's been brilliant for our fortnight campings in France.

Although I will moving over from CampinGaz 907 cylinders of which we carry 2 over to the much cheaper Le Cube Butane when we are next over in France.

The Le Cube cylinders hold double the gas for half the money, and use the more convienent clip on type regulator.

I just need to find a couple of disgarded Le Cube's to get the ball rolling so to speak!

No personal experience but the Chef is going to take up more space and looks to me as though you would struggle to fit two decent sized pans on it and use the grill at the same time.
I'd go for the Gourmet, if you want to do stovetop grilling/griddling you could always get yourself a ridged pan to use with it.
