Hi All, I have a 1992 Talbot Avalon camper with a 3 way fridge fitted, it hasn't worked on the 12 v but was cooling to a point with the Gas, and a bit more with the mains.

However last week I hooked up to the mains overnight and the element inside the ice compartment was only slightly cooled, I did notice an ammonia smell and it was coming from around the fridge area.

Any Idea on what's going on, and what if anything I need to do to get this working correctly again.

If it's an ammonia smell I am afraid you have a coolant leak. I would of thought your best bet would be to get a s/h fridge of the same type and replace it.
