Hi....
    We've had our Swift Challenger for a couple of months now...we've had a few weekend away getting to know her. Now we're off this Thursday for two weeks...first in Yorkshire, 2nd week in Scotland and I would like to find an answer to a little problem.

    The little problem, which is more annoying than a problem is the sound from the pump. When any tap is used we get "water hammering"...this goes on for maybe 5/6 secs when the tap is closed.

    As all the books that come with the van are in the said van,   I'm sat here at home having a look on the net to try and find any clues to stop this noise. I've found the following on the Swift site....

"The pressure within the accumulator, if fitted, can be set via the connection on the end of the accumulator. This valve is as per an automotive tyre valve, and so can be checked and adjusted using automotive gauges and pumps. The pressure required within the accumulator relates to the pressure setting of the pump - when a Shure-Flo accumulator is factory fitted, it will be fitted with a Shure-Flo pump set at 30psi, requiring an accumulator pressure set at a manufacturer recommended 20psi"

    I had a look at the pump t'other week and I noticed this "schrader type valve"....so does the system need a foot pump to take it to 20psi???

    When I first see this valve I must admit I thought it was to drain any air in the system out...help.
