Our EHU unit stopped working on the last day of our trip. Had a look over but it seems to be a sealed unit- can they be repaired or do we need to get a new one?

Are you sure that it is your unit that has failed and not the supply from the bollard?
Before buying a new one it might be best to test in another supply.

Thanks for the reply - yes, checked in another bollard whilst trying to sort it. Also checked the devices that were plugged in and they were fine, is definitely the unit.

Are you sure it's not a loose connection in the Plug?
It may be worth checking the plug first to see if is OK
they are prone to working loose.

Probably just a loose wire inside, they are a simple piece of kit, well my Sunncamp model is.

Have a look at my "EHU Modification" post, could be worth doing whilst you have got the thing in bits.

DH has been able to get into it tonight and thinks it's a goner.

Will keep an eye out for a replacement over the winter.

Same thing happened to our one last week luckily the campsite had a spare one we could use, hubby took it apart and couldn't see any loose wires put it back together and said we'd give it one last try and it worked yay!!!

Dont dispair the cut out device inside the EHU can be purchased off the internetweb....Just had to do mine as the 'trip' would not re-set...Cost about £8 very easy to fit and ready for next time ...whoopy do.
