I am not going camping until at least next April,so i am in the process of buying gear for this every month.This is the list of what i have bought and what i think i need.We will only be camping out a maximum off 3 nights.Any suggestions on what else i can buy are most welcome.

Bought so far
zenobia 6,footprint,porch and carpet
Thetford Porta Potti 365 (bought it for £20 brand new from gumtree)

Still to buy

Ford mondeo estate/S max or Skoda octavia estate
roof box
cooking stove and gas bottle (caminggaz 400st?)
1 double outwell dreamcatcher
3 single outwell dreamcatcher
2 lanterns
pots and pans
5 x chairs
outwell eco coolbox
mallet and spare tent pegs
sleeping bags but not too sure on the best to buy
There are probably obvious thing that i have forgotten about,so please let me know.

A lot depends on when and where you're planning on camping. I'd suggest a table/cooker stand.

At the moment only got a couple of places picked out,which are Faskally in Pitlochry and Glen Nevis near Fort William

That and the rest!

Good news is a lot can be brought from home like pans and torches. Other things can be bought at places like B&M Bargains (plates, stoves etc etc).

Don't skimp on the beds, that's my main bit of advice. A sleeping bag can be supplimented with a duvet - grab the one from your own bed or I keep a 4.5tog duvet with cover on just for camping.

The 'two box' principle is a good place to start, grab two sturdy lidded plastic boxes and use one as a kitchen box and the other for everything else.
