Hi,

For all of you that have a small trailer that is kept outside, what do you cover it with over winter?

I'm struggling to find something the right size. BBQ covers are too small and car covers are too big.

Dont want to use tarp as id like it to be breathable.

When I had a camping trailer used to put it up on bricks and tied up tight with a tarp. Why does it have to be breathable ? its a trailer !

I extended the sides of mine with plywood and made a plywood cover. The cover got really dirty over the winter but the stuff inside was in prefect condition.

We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.

I leave mine open but leave it so that water cannot puddle anywhere.

If water cannot puddle it will be OK in the elements.

If you really want to cover it make sure its not sealed in, airflow is required to prevent condensation forming which wont dry out if its sealed.

Get a tarpaulin and add some eyelets to attach some straps.
You can get them in a million and one sizes and quality.

Ive seen a 4x3 one in the £ shop sometimes.

Bought one of these for ours, after spending close to £1600.00 it was a no brainier to try snd keep it as fresh as possible and reduce nosey thieves...
