My LED lanterns are good and put out a lot of light, however would love to have a warmer lighting option.. can anyone suggest anything? We don't generally use EHU so a regular lamp isn't an option really,

One in above link has three lighting levels plus rapid flashing and Morse SOS mode, sequentially switched from rear of unit (no need to remove packaging to test, so do so before buying!)
If we want a bit of warmth along with light we use a couple of candle lanterns, one to a C17th design and one to a C19th, which give out plenty of light, and are safe if knocked over. They give out a surprising amount of heat and get the temperature of the tent up those couple of degrees to make all the difference.
I'll go off and look more closely at the suggestions. SueD2 what make of candle lantern do you have?

One is a C17th stable lantern we bought decades ago, so I can't remember where from, and the other is an American Civil War lantern bought from Civil War Sutlers (UK company). We are re-enactirs (obviously!) but some of the old technology still does an excellent job, and it is surprising how many bits and pieces from previous centuries are still useful, especially when camping. I will see if I can work out how to post a photo for you.
If you want a quality lamp that gives you heat and light there is only one brand to go for Coleman check out their range of gas lamps, best on the market. Look at Go outdoors web site good offers on lamps and gas, buy one and it will last years, as there is no glass to break, as with camping gaz.
I have just spoken to my husband about the Uco candles, as he bought it. He says they are a bit more expensive, but don't melt in the same way so last much longer than standard household candles.
As requested, a report on the Uco. We used it hanging from the ridge pole as light whilst getting undressed. It doesn't give as much light as the historical lanterns we normally use, but the light is all-round rather than uni-directional. It definitely warmed the tent a bit, but didn't get too hot itself - the glass stayed cold. And of course, there was no wax running in it due to the clever candle. I can read by our normal lanterns, but couldn't read by the Uco, but if you want a gentle light with no fuss or mess which also warns the tent a bit I would recommend it.
