not sure if this is in the right place but thought i would let you know about somthing i tried at the weekend ,knowing how light it would be in the tent and son no2 doesnt sleep in the light i had the completely bonkers idea of taking his pop up tent which is very very dark inside and putting it in the sleeping area !

voila .... one dark kid room and as it turned out base camp for an increasing band of small soldiers until i banned them from indoors !

we have a vango antares and his pop up is just a cheap camoflage one but it fitted a treat and i had room for a double airbed and a ton of gear with room to spare in the inner tent .

im guessingit would work in other tents i did check the measurements to make sure it would go without touching anywhere it shouldnt .

Yeah no issues as long as it fits, just watch it doesnt move and cause issues.

You may want a few small pegs, if they tend to roll around and fight inside.

Although they are on holiday so sleep is often the last thing on their mind until utter exhaustion kicks in :)

Ah but did you manage to pop it back down again!
That's always been our problem with the pop up tents!

The one i have is a string through the middle of the roof.

Not a bad design once you learn to straighten the legs before pulling the string.

Ah you say it's simple, but you must be one of those amazing people that can do it, whereas we are the people driving home from the beach with the tent still popped up in the back of the car!
