3 years ago I purchased a large inflatable Vango caravan awning, all seemed fine until the second use when two non return inflatable valves would not seal properly, this was due to the synthetic rubber in the valve, not lying evenly over the valve face, after a few attempts it was possible to achieve a seal.
I reported this to Tamworth Camping where it was purchased but the assistant (I use this word advisedly) had no idea of how to help and didn't have any replacement parts for these type of valves, whilst in the shop I did notice that the latest Vango valves are much improved with a proper spring mechanism.
Has anyone else experienced this issue.
Has anyone experienced Thetford toilet issues, mine are listed as follow:-
1) Occasionally will not flush.
2) Occasionally the top tank leaks into the main bowl.
3) The red LED light indicating that the toilet is full, has been showing for several months now.
I much preferred the manual flush system which Thetford once supplied to the Caravan market, but I guess progress has deemed that these are no longer available.

I reckon you'd do better posting this Thetford query as a separate thread (different title) to receive responses.

Sorry, I can't help with your problem but, have you only used the awning twice in the 3 years from new? How long has it been used, in total?
It's a potential problem, isn't it, when you buy expensive new items but don't use them regularly from purchase. When things go wrong, you find yourself out of the warranty period. Then again, I'm pretty sure there's some consumer law about things being of merchantable quality for a 'reasonable' period, so maybe this will be to your benefit. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly.
The Vango inflatable awning has been used about a dozen times, most of which have shown the odd de-flating issue,
I'm sorry if I confused you with the second time of use, I meant the second year of use.
I'm pretty sure that those valves are generic and easily replaced. They're the same as found on a lot of inflatables including dinghies and airbeds. As for the newer version being better, watch the video on YouTube from Vango on how to superglue one back together in an emergency. I certainly wouldn't want to be doing that whilst trying to set my tent up. It's entitled "Campsite airspeed valve fix"
