Hi
First post, and first time out in the van, so please be gentle.

Fitted a new whale carbon filter before we left. Followed all the instructions about putting it under a running tap and shaking it about etc but now we are on site and can't seem to get the filter to sink properly. The result is we are getting a lot of air drawn in and the taps spluttering.

Is there a finer art to getting a new filter that someone can help me with.

Put it in the water barrel FIRST, lift it up and down to get rid of the air (and fill the hose with water) THEN connect it to your caravan.

Thanks I will give that a try but I have spent some time jiggling in the barrel, I'm sure the neighbours think I am out fishing.
If not I will resort to a peg and spoon idea.

peg & spoon sounds great - we had loads of problems with this. it seems to be 2 or 3 days before it sinks!
