I have just purchased a second 6kgs propane Calor Gas cylinder. It costs £24 for the hire of the cylinder and about £12 for the gas. A lot of people suggest you try your local amenity site as they often have cylinders they are happy to sell. Unfortunately here in MK they won't do that, hence the £24!!!

Why not get butane - it's cheaper. The empty bottles can usually be found at the local car boot & then you only have to pay for a refill. Our Council Tip won't let you have them either, although I've been told the one in Telford will.

You only need propane if you're going to be using it in very cold weather.

 It doesnt really matter what type of bottle you have so long as it is calor,

 cos you can exchange a butane for propane or vice-versa at all the places

 Yes you can different regulators for different types of gas bottles,

 type in www.calor uk on your pc and they have a site that shows you

 all different types of regulators and prices,but you might get them cheaper

 from your dealer when you see what you are looking for on the site,just press on the

 link i have given you ,
