Thank you Mucker1884 for your replies to an earlier post re raised air bed versus double camp beds. For my latest trip, I ended up with a raised double height air bed and had probably the most comfortable night's sleep ever whilst camping. I also bought two slatted air bed risers from Decathlon and placed single air mattresses on these for the kiddies (13 & 9). We slept like logs 😂
Not sure why you're personally thanking me, Roofybubbles, as you seem to have gone for completely different set up's to the one I prefer and often recommend.
Hey that's not to say I don't appreciate the thanks, anyway, and the important thing is that ultimately, whatever the advise was, and whoever gave it, you ended up being happy with your choice. Let's face it, the only improvement on sleeping like a log is sleeping like a baby... minus the nappy, of course!
Camping can (at a push) still be fun/enjoyable when the weather is rubbish/ the site's a hovel/ the neighbours were born in hell, and even when the tent is made of plastic, but a good nights sleep is something we all need to get absolutely right, as quickly as possible, to be able to cope with the rest, so I'm delighted for you all.
