Hi,
Struggled to get all our gear in our honda jazz so decided to buy a roof box and bars. The roofbox company online looks about the best and have been good at answering questions so......we have settled on the hapro roady 4000 coupled to cruz alloy wingbars coming in at £315ish. Looked at thule prices..............walked away holding head and wallet😂 anyway, has anyone used this company or products?
Chris
Very good company I purchased my roof bars, Prorack Whispbar, from them a few years ago to fit cycle carriers on which are also very good, no wind noise and very little drag.
Yes.
Many a good word for The roofboxco on here, so I had no hesitation in using them when I bought bars and box a couple of years ago.
I went for the Kamei Corvara S390 box, and the Thule Wing Bar Edge bars.
A great combo, giving aerodynamic bars (left on my mpv permanently) with T Bar slot for the box, which connects via internal clamps (so no U bolts, and no access to the fittings when the box is locked), double sided opening (important on a high/wide car), and an excellent locking system.
As for the company themselves, yes, the whole buying experience, service and delivery etc couldn't be faulted, and I was more than happy with the whole process... as were many others on here, which made them the obvious choice for me.
We also used the roof box company when we got our kamei 550 box and roof bars. The first set of bars (square) had a manufacturing fault with the bolts and were recalled. At that point we upgraded to thurle wing bars. They were great sorting out the problem.
I bought my roofbox from them 20 years ago and still using it during the summer months actually. However, The front gas strut weakened recently and needed replacing so I contacted their customer services for a replacement. I wasn't surprised to learn that the model I have is now obsolete but they sent me an e-mail with a link to the company that still supplies them. It arrived today as a matter of fact so will fit it on tomorrow.
My brother also bought a roofbox and bars from them which he lent out to a work mate who lost the key (can you believe it) so he contacted the roofbox company who sorted him out with a new key.
Excellent service and highly recommended by many.
There is a company local to me called Skippys Roof Racks, they will post items, they sell Thule items at a low price.
In my opinion worth a look, they have a web site but best to call Steve as he is really helpful.
