Well just one day to wait until we set off on are first camping trip, I feel like a kid at christmas eve, is this sad or did others get this excited before there first trip? Any last minute advice or tips would be much appreciated.

Good luck on your first trip. I always get excited and anxious when we go away. Excited about being away, anxious about forgetting something, things going wrong etc. Then, once I get there it's great.
Can't remember my first camping trip as I was just a nipper, been doing it ever sinse but I still get excited even after all these years! Hope you enjoy it and get bitten by the camping bug like I am (sorry didn't mean that literally - there are no bugs when you go camping, it's just a myth - or is that moth) !
Thank you all for your comments, this will be last post as a virgin camper and then i am off to pick up my boy from school and then off we go no stopping us.
Well we got back yesterday from are first trip and we cant se what all the fuss was about, cold, sleeping on the floor and cooking on a silly little camping stove and then after two nights had to pack it all away and go home.
Who am i kidding we all loved and are booked to go away for the next bank holiday for four nights, looks like i have this cold that is going around on this website called the bug or something.
You will be itching to get away all the time, i want to go every weekend but not possible.
I have been camping since i was 11 and now 30+ years on still cannot give it up but who wants to. My kids love it so it looks like i have passed something onto my next generation.
