Think I’m gonna use a spray too bob. Off to west coast for a few days and taking the parents, which means we need to sleep in the awning and give the old the van lol.
Yeah it’s silly to have midge net on one door only when we hav3 3 that open. So figure we’ll give a quick spay and seal us in. I am hoping we will get a wee breeze at the coast that will keep em at bay
Spray melted the proofing on our cotton tent.
The Argyllshire midge is tiny & laughs at the MH window mesh.
I've seen midges hovering above my citronella candle, only the flame itself killed them. Not sure what's in those green mozzie coils, but they were ineffective too.
We use Skin So Soft, applied regularly (a general spray say every 20-30 mins) and sometimes a midge hood - It's what the road contractors at Loch Lomond used when building the new cantilever bridge past Pulpit Rock. Forestry workers use it too - I've borrowed a bottle from offices near Dumfries. Most golf course shops sell it.
And we hope for a stiff breeze. And take daily antihistamine tablets backed up by antihistamine cream.
