They are not cheap but I think Duvalay make ‘made to measure’ mattresses and toppers.

We sold our foam one for a properly sprung one from Jonic and it is massively better, though expensive.

If you want a more comfortable bed, think of having a duvalay, we finally bought two last year and wish we had purchased earlier!
They are comfortable, and snuggly warm.
Easy to launder the cover too.

A conventionally sprung mattress can be very heavy compared to a foam filled one.

An important factor if intended for use at the rear of a caravan.

The foam mattress we had at the rear of our van was extremely comfortable.

Hello used these for custom foam matrasses. Had them 3 years and still going strong. The cotton over sheet split from zip fairly quickly but would still buy again.

We bought an unused memory foam mattress from eBay for £20 and cut it to size with a carving knife.

Like silvertopsandra, once we had actually taken the (financial) plunge of getting a couple of Duvalay, we wished we had done it sooner. Better sleep and quicker to make up the convertible double bed at the front of our caravan (no need to try and get underblanket and sheets onto the bed - its all there in the Duvalay cover - just spread it out and climb in bed!)
