We have travelled with the tv face down on the front lounge cushion and the edge of the stand pushed down between that and the centre wrap-around cushion. Throw a rug/blanket/coat on top and it won't go anywhere.

We just lay it face down on the front seat cushion. Have done for years and never had a problem with that.

Ours fits into a zipped computer bag, the kind that looks like soft squidgy wet suit material, not the ones that look like a suitcase. Goes into a top locker.
