Hi has anyone used a roof protector and is it worth the money. Off to Cornwall in a few weeks and wondered if it helps keep tent cool or is it hard to put up and not worth the hassle.

We got one of the cheapo camo nets 4m x 6m £25 of eBay, mostly used to give additional shade, or could be stringed out over the tent to act as a protector etc.

To be fair our tent is over ten years old, and has not required any additional protection to the outer canvas, I guess that is one of the qualities of heavy cotton canvas.
