Okay i Caved in and bought a Electric hook up (With RCD) I have know of small cars lighter than this thing. Question besides clipping it to a table leg oe the back of a small pack mule is there a pole / stand for use in a tent?? thanks peeps & peepetts
As long as your sewn-in groundsheet is watertight there should be no problem just laying it on the floor, convenient for connecting to, to but out of harm's way.

Mark Twain.
Fitted a couple of those plastic 20mm gas pipe clips to mine, which makes for a very firm connect to my 23mm tent poles, the clips come in various sizes so that could be a solution depending on pole type and access, although not much of a solution for those with inflatable tents.
Just an aside... Unless you are 100% confident that your little electric access slot thingy (in the tent wall) is perfectly sealed, it's always best to ensure that, as soon as the cable enters the tents, it is aiming upwards.
Any rain on the cable needs to be running/trickling downhill towards the grass outside, not downhill through the slot, and onto the tent groundsheet/carpet, or even the box itself.
Obviously, some slots may be higher than others, depending on the tent.
Anyway... We've usually managed ok with just a large S hook. Hung on the frame of our food cupboard/Larder, or even on those sewn in Velcro cable tidy things if your tent has them (as per pic below).
That's assuming the box has a handle or similar, to hook onto, and isn't overly heavy (So might not work for the OP, by the sound of it! LOL!)

Both the tents I've used had sewn in ground sheets, so pretty confident of no water ingress, just left the EH box lying on floor out of the way.
.
I used to do that, till one day we went out ,on a beautifull day, and left one of the windows rolled up, then a cloudburst flooded the tent, and water was just inches away from ehu. best to keep it off the floor.

Francais, Please could you show me a side on picture of your EHU? Ours is like yours and we just lay it on the floor but I like your idea of clipping it to the pole. Could you show me what your clips look like please?
Just had a thought. We have a Monty6P so poles on the outside...but so do most tents. Anyway with your clips we may be able to MacGuiver something for our tent in the garden in the summer. Might need EHU to boost the Wifi signal outdoors!! No EHU connector in the house or garden. Think we've got a Euro connector to EHU connector connector.
