Hi,

I am fairly new to caravanning and have just purchased a used sterling europa 2008 model, I am looking for a Alko hitchlock for it but I am unsure which to purchase.

You need to find out what model stabiliser is fitted to your caravan first because if it's an AL-KO AKS 2000 (with the offset handle) then hitchlocks are very difficult to find due to being obsolete. However, do a Google search and click on 'Images' for AL-KO 1300, 2004, 3004 and the AKS 2000 then see which one is identical to what is fitted on your caravan. Once you know that then further advice can be given as to which hitchlock you need.

We use a maypole stronghold SH5412 on our Alko hitch although ours is an older version of the same model

Remember to use wheel locks as well. You could go the whole hog and get stabiliser lock as well.
