About to go camping for a much needed and long awaited trip on Thursday and I just this minute remembered that a shock cord broke (I think that's what it's called) on one of our poles when taking it down last year. I'm way too busy to get it sorted out now.
Do these have any function over and above just making it easy to get the poles right and keep them together while doing so. I'm assuming it will be a little more tricky getting them in place and up but other than that - does it really matter once up as I can't really think why that be?
Many thanks, Sarah
------------- Wynnster Eagle 6 tent also but never used as too big for most sites we've been too and were too happy with our other tent.
Plus a SunnCamp Breton 500 Deluxe for shorter camping trips which we bought at the end of 2019 but have yet to use it due to lockdown!
As said they keep all the bits in order when folded. After that, they don't add any strength to the frame and the tension on them when the tent is erected should keep everything in place until such times as you break camp.
