well after many years of camping in cabanon canvas frame tents l decided the time was right to get an air tent for ease of pitching on short solo camps
so l bought a small outwell 3 person tent that was discontinued from the range a couple of years ago and it is a smart air technical cotton tent
i did a test pitch today and it did not go to plan. the outwell high pressure pump that was supplied with the tent was absolutely useless and a tent that should have been up in minutes was still on the ground after ten minutes of back breaking pumping
how can outwell sell what is supposed to be a premium tent with such a rubbish pump or maybe mine is faulty out of the bag

I think you may have to make sure that the valve/s are set correctly before pumping it up? Not an expert but ISTR comments about this before.
the three air out valves were closed and the beam isolation valves were set to open so we should have been good to go but there is zero resistance on the pump and it produces very little output
after lots of frustration and trying a Coleman quick pump that didn't fit properly so was losing air from bad fitting joints i reverted to a 15 year old Gelert air hammer that i had for pumping inflatable boats and that had the tent up in minutes
the only downside of the Gelert pump is that you have no idea what pressure you are putting in to the beams
