I believe this is a voluntary recall, does anyone have any details about this

Ah, so it's Dometic as opposed to domestic.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Firstly I assume the OP Topic's 'DOMESTIC' should be DOMETIC!

Think this may be the information sought:

https://www.dometic.com/en-gb/outdoor/uk/lp/product-warning-and-recall

With the risks involved, thought this would have been (should be!) a compulsory recall rather than voluntary!

I agree, Monty, it sounds as though that should be a mandatory recall.

Numbers affected will be very limited, based on the link:
“Is the installed cooker the original cooker you bought together with your vehicle?
If yes, please check the first registration or production date of your vehicle.
If this date is before October 2020, the cooker is not affected, and nothing needs to be done.
If the date is October 2020 or thereafter, you need to check the data label of the cooker.”

Agree all affected products should be still or just out of 12 month warranty and can therefore be traced.

Thanks for posting that. Just went out & checked mine. Different number so ok. With that dire warning in the link one would hope dealers were contacting affected customers.

As the links show, this only affects ovens in MHs registered on or after Oct 2020. I didn’t bother checking, for that reason.
