We have a large Fiamma awning that fits our 6 berth motorhome. The winding mechanism has broken and currently removed from the motorhome, as it does not stay wound in. We are looking for someone to repair the winding mechanism, as I am not sure that I have the skill to do this myself. Can anyone please let us know of anyone who can repair this? We are based in Bracknell, Berkshire, but we are willing to travel, if required?
Welcome to UKCS. Your dealer should be able to repair the mechanism. If you don’t use one for your habitation service, I’d suggest you Google for a mobile engineer in the MCEA (motor caravan engineers association) to come to you. The parts seem to be readily available. Hopefully someone here has done it themselves.
You can see exploded parts diagrams on AgentFiamma website.
I would doubt if the winding mechanism is repairable, more likely an item that just gets replaced.
Agent Fiamma has a fitting service, but they appear to cover Cheshire and North Wales. Whether or not this includes piece part replacement I don't know, you would need to get in touch with them.
