i was looking for a 2 burner cooker with a high output for boiling and also a low control for simmering. something fairly large to take 2 8" pans and was robustly made.
all i could find was the campchef everest 2x which ticked all those boxes.
i had to import it from usa and sort the high pressure propane regulator as it runs at 20psi but now its all up and running i am so impressed with the performance and build quality. Easy clean stainless burner top with no holes to get crud wiped into. metal lid with 4 metal hinges opens and is held in place by the wind shields which clip into slots and also get locked in place by the metal lid catches, all very good.
using a stainless 8" pan with a copper base, 1ltr of cold water, a rolling simmer was made in 3min45sec which i was pretty impressed with and because it has a 1 1/2 turn gas control (pizo ignition to) you can accurately turn the flame right down. No flame failure device.
