Hi Folks, thanks for taking the time, I have just bought one of these mobil toilets from lidl, only cost £29.99 found out about it in this forum so thanks to whoever it was that posted.
Ime happy with it but was wondering where I will be able to buy the chemicals that i will need to keep it smelling nice and to keep it clean. It came with a couple of sample bottles but Ive tried to find the company without success. Do I need to buy thier products or is there a easiwer way.........
you can use any of the toilet chemicals for camping loos that are on the market you just put one in the flush and one in the holding chamber . towsure do their own brand in 5 ltr bottles at a reasonable price.

Somebody posted a link a while back to the instruction book for the Telford Porta Potti. We got ours second hand with our van so it didn't have a book. The book says put a measure in the bottom and a measure in the clean water compartment but the back of the bottle, also Telford, specifically says never put it in the clean water compartment. We never did before we read this and it's never been a problem but I'm wondering now what you're actually supposed to do.
Big stores like B&Q, Homebase do their own basic brand of toilet fluids (or they USED to) and these are all you need. No, you do not have to put stuff in the flush, but it is supposed to 'coat' the top half of the toilet with a liquid film to ease cleaning, and makes it smell nice.

If its anything like ours we put one chemical in the holding container and another different chemical in the flush compartment ! both available at most camping stores!or online!
There are two chemicals - the 'blue' for the waste tank, and 'pink' for the flush tank. The 'pink' coats the loo as it flushes, so making it easier for the flush to clean it next time, and lubricates the 'blade' that seals the waste tank, so it's less likely to stick. Don't put 'blue' in your flush tank - it might stain the toilet bowl, and it WILL stain if it gets on you!!!
Also, save the bottles that came with the toilet as then you can just refill them from the larger ones. There are some liquids which can be used in both the top and the bottom tank, ie fenwicks top and tail.
thanks to everyone that posted, from what you are all saying I must think in terms of flush and waste, and I will be on the look out for products when I next visit the camping shop or bq ect...
When you go to a camping shop, ask them where the 'loo blue' is - sort of a generic term we all use for the chemicals!! Saves having to remember the brand-names.
Whilst we are on this subject ! can i ask what the little cannister is for / when we open our potti (into two halfs ) there's a place to put this cannister in , is it air spray ? i wonder ?
Thanks
Kevin

You tried your best
and failed MISERABLY.
The lesson is : NEVER TRY .
If you are talking about a Thetford Porta Potti there is a storage compartment for putting the smallest bottles of toilet fluids in. This is on the waste tank
