Hi all. I am currently a student completing a design project for school, and I have come up with a design concept that I would really appreciate some feedback on, from those in my possible target audience. Essentially it is a portable cup holder (that has indents so that it can hold both mugs and tumbler cups), initially designed for boats to solve the tipping and spilling of drinks on tables as the boat rocks and moves, however, now I feel it could also be useful in many other fields - such as camping and caravanning.
Just a reminder that this is in no way a professional, serious project so my concept will evidently not be the most complex or revolutionary but something simple I came up with for a school project.

Thanks so much, your feedback will be incredibly valuable to my project (however positive or negative)!
Hi nur_ts. Your survey link doesn’t work…
Boats have gimbals to stop things spilling in a Force 10. It’s tried & tested. Otherwise, the sailors I know just hold the glass of beer most of the time.
Your cup grippy idea is ok but it doesn’t stop the cup holder itself sliding off sideways when the table tilts.
Most of the mugs, saucers, and plates we use in our caravan were originally bought for our boat that we had. They have a ring of rubber (or something similar) under them so that won't slide on a table. My beer doesn't stay in the glass long enough to worry about it.
